This maxim is the recipe for success by restaurateur Richard Held and his wife Erna. The foundation for today's Hotel Held began with his parents in 1930, with a restaurant, a butchers shop and a grocery store.The trained chef, pastry chef and butcher Richard Held took over the family business in 1961. The business was expanded and remodeled, it became a well known restaurant and training center for chefs and hotel professionals.
Richard Held Jr. began his education as a cook and butcher, exploring different cuisines of the world. Eventually he moved back into the family business and as chef, he is taking over the helm of his father's business in the kitchen.
Today the hotel with 140 beds, is managed by Richard Held. With great passion and a highly motivated staff of 40 employees, the hoteliers are taking care of the daily needs of their guests.
